Five Things Friday-Part 3

Friday, March 02, 2012

Hello friends! I hope you're having a nice end to your work week.  If not, maybe these five things will cheer you up :)

1.  Sweet wedding tablescape.  I love the muted tones and vintage pieces used in this tablescape.  It is so soft and romantic.  I bet you have a newfound appreciation for all of those brass candlesticks you see at the thrift store now, don't you? :)

2.  Herringbone throw.  I ordered this herringbone throw from Pure Fiber after seeing it on the Today show's Steals and Deals segment a couple of weeks ago.  I'm still waiting on it to come in, but the wait is well worth the deal.  I've been swooning over these throws for a long time but didn't want to shell out the $100+ for one.  Mine ended up costing me $44 (shipping and tax included)!
3.  A well designed nursery.  If you follow the House of Hydrangeas Facebook page, you know that I've been working on a nursery board for a new client this week.  While looking through my files for inspiration,  I came across this guy.  The mix of colors, patterns and textures in the room are oh so perfect.  And of course, I love the mix matched frames on the wall.

4.  Spring ensemble.  This outfit is a great transitional outfit from winter to spring.  The lightweight, green top and neutral accessories for warmth on those chilly days are a great match.

5.  Craigslist find!  I purchased this oak antique dresser (circa 1890-1910) off of Craigslist for $100 today.  I can't wait for the hubs to get home so we can bring it inside to put in our entry way.  When I first saw it, I was immediately smitten by its wood carved details, warm color and versatility-not to mention the price!  I think it will also work well in a nursery as a diaper changing table one day.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!
