I love the collected look and can't wait to add some more pieces to the collection.
This is the other side of the room. Do you notice the old ottoman that used to be in our living room? The couch is one that has been in my family since I was in elementary school. It's a La-Z Boy that has springs in each cushion. In 20 years, it has not lost an ounce of its shape. The jewel tone upholstery was remedied with a $70 2-piece sofa cover from JC Penney. The curtains, although shorter than I'd like, are Candice Olsen ones I found on sale at Dillard's for $5 over a year ago! I was glad to finally get them out of their packaging.
Here's a closeup of the pattern on the curtains. Eventually, I'd like to add some extra fabric to the bottom to make them 96 inches, but they'll do the job for now. Her drapes normally cost $120+ dollars so I won't complain :)
We already had all of the pieces needed to put this room "together" so I'm happy with the a cost-free results!
It's definitely come a long way from this...
